Doula Support
A doula is defined as a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a birthing person before, during and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

Important Note on Doulas
It is important to know doulas are not midwives, doctors, nurses, or medical providers. A doula also does not replace the partner, rather they are there to help the partner with the physical support and reassurance they need to help support the birthing person.

What You Can Expect
As a doula I will be there to provide emotional and physical support to you and your partner during your laboring process. I can help with comfort measures such as massage, positioning, aromatherapy, rebozos, breathing, and counter pressure. During this delicate time, I will be there to provide emotional support and encouragement to help keep the experience as calm and positive as possible.
From 36 weeks on, I will be on-call for you and will meet you at your place of birth once you are in active labor. I will support you emotionally and physically, as well as assist your partner to allow them time to use the restroom, eat and hydrate, but also guide them in supporting you. I will be there to support the birthing person for two hours after the baby is born and will do an in-home follow-up visit 3-5 days after birth.
